Portfolio of Works

Oil paintings are the artistic creations crafted using oil-based pigments typically on canvas or wood. Oil paints consist of pigments mixed with drying oils like linseed, walnut or poppyseed allowing for rich colors blending and layering enabling artist to achieve a wide range of textures, translucency and depth in their work. Oil painting often possess a luminous quality due to the slow drying time of oils.

Through my oil paintings, I strive to encapsulate an unbridled expressive essence. Each brushstroke carries the weight of my passion resulting in a bold, dynamic interplay of colors and form. The loose flowing style I employ isn't just a technique; it's a reflection of my belief in embracing the untamed energy of creativity. The vivid strokes invite you into a world where emotions run free, where every stroke and color speaks it own unfiltered truth. With each piece, I endeavor to capture the raw vitality of life itself, inviting you to interpret and experience the vivacity that pulses within my painterly canvases.

Whether portraying moments of introspection, celebration or quiet contemplation, these artworks aim to evoke empathy, connection, and a profound reflection on the myriad facets of our existence. Through form, color and emotion my figurative paintings invite viewers to explore the depth and diversity of the human condition.

Encaustic painting is an ancient technique that involves using pigmented molten beeswax, used with heat as a medium. This method dates back to Ancient Greece and Egypt where it was used for funeral mask painted on panels. The word "encaustic" is derived from the Greek word "enkaustikos," meaning "to burn in" referring to the process of fusing the layers of wax.

Within my encaustic paintings, I strive to capture the fluidity of water, merging colors in a mesmerizing dance. Each brushstroke becomes a conduit, guiding the flow of molten beeswax inciting colors to intertwine and evolve like the currents of a stream. I delve into the depths,  adding elements that resonate with the essence of my vision, creating a sensory journey that unearths the intricate tapestry of emotions, textures and hues buried within the encaustic layers. The result is a composition that speaks  to the fluidity of  existence itself.
